Facit's Identity Cloak is CCTV redaction software. UK company, real customers, and it is built around one specific job: a subject access request lands, you have to hand over footage, and everyone else in the frame has to be blurred first. It does that job properly.
It does not do photos. Inputs are MP4 and AVI. If you have a JPEG, Facit's own guidance is to screen-record it into a video, or buy their separate Document Redaction product.

It is an annual commitment, and it starts at $708. The cheapest plan is $59 a month billed yearly, so you pay for a year up front. There is no monthly option, no pay-per-file, and nothing below that tier. If you have a handful of requests a year, you are buying a year of software to handle them.
It is metered by video count, not usage. Starter is up to 10 videos a year — about $71 per video before you have redacted anything. Not ten hours, ten files. A one-minute clip and a three-hour recording both burn one. If your workload is unpredictable you are either over-buying or buying add-ons.
The trial cannot produce a usable file. Seven days, but exports are watermarked and cut off at 60 seconds. You cannot finish a single real job before you commit.
Windows only, and picky about it. Windows 11 Pro, Intel 10th gen or newer, AMD explicitly unsupported, discrete GPU required. No Mac, no Linux, no browser. That is an IT ticket before anyone redacts anything.

When Facit is still the right choice
Some of you should stay where you are, and it is worth saying so plainly.
Your work is video. BlindSpot does not touch video at all. If you are answering subject access requests with CCTV exports, Facit is built for exactly that and we are not.
You are on Milestone XProtect. Facit has a plug-in for it, including live redaction on playback. Nothing else in this category does.
Footage cannot leave the building. Identity Cloak processes locally, and Enterprise runs air-gapped. BlindSpot uploads to a server and keeps the file in your History until you delete it. If your policy forbids that, this is settled, stay with Facit.
You need audio redacted too. Facit does it. We do not.
You need batch processing. BlindSpot is one image at a time today, so a big folder is a bad fit for us.
