What are the usage capacity for Cnaps Studio?
Your plan determines how many computational resources you can consume each cycle. We have three subscription tiers available, and every 5 hours your resource pool resets to your plan's baseline amount. Whether you're on Free, Starter, or Pro, you'll always start each new cycle with a fresh allocation.
What are computational resources?
When you run AI models through Cnaps Studio flows, every operation consumes a certain amount of computational resources based on what the model needs to do. Think of it as the underlying processing power - CPU, memory, and processing time - required to complete each task. The more complex or intensive the operation, the more resources it will use. For instance, upscaling an image 4x with Image Upscaler (PiSA-SR) is resource-intensive, while a simpler task like gender detection from an image uses far less.
What determines how much a task costs?
Each operation's resource cost depends on several variables. The AI model you're using plays a role, as does the size and complexity of your input data - whether that's text length, image resolution, file size, or other parameters. The nature of the processing also matters: more demanding operations that require heavy computation will draw more resources than lighter, simpler tasks.
What happens to resources I don't use?
Your unused resources don't carry over to the next cycle. Once the 5-hour window closes, any remaining resources are cleared out and your allocation starts fresh. This approach keeps things simple—you get the same starting point every cycle based on your plan, with no rollover complications.
I've used up my usage capacity - what now?
You have two paths forward: either wait for your resources to reset in 5 hours, or upgrade to a higher-tier plan right away for more capacity per cycle. If you're on the Free plan, moving to Starter or Pro gives you significantly more breathing room.
