video-take-select — Traditional AI Model

Take Select watches every take in a video list with optical flow and passes through the one whose motion holds up: no stretch where the subject stops, and no stretch where it moves against the direction most takes agree on (or the direction you set). The chosen take comes out unchanged, and a report lists every take's faults with their times. A stop in the first or last second reads as the subject entering or leaving the frame and is not reported. It does not catch sliding or skidding, so look at close calls yourself. CPU.

Inputs & Outputs

TakesInputlist:video

Takes to choose from (1-16), e.g. from Video Collect

VideoOutputvideo

The chosen take, unchanged

ReportOutputstring

JSON report: which take was chosen and every take's faults with times

Parameters

expected_directionstringdefault autooptions: auto, none, left, right, up, down

Direction the subject should move on screen. auto = what most takes agree on.

auto (default) = the direction at least 2/3 of the moving takes share, needs 3+ takes; left/right/up/down = judge every take against that screen direction; none = only check for turn-backs inside each take.

stall_thresholdfloatdefault 0.02range 0–1advanced

Motion slower than this (frame widths per second) counts as stopped. 0 turns the check off.

Speed floor in frame widths per second (0-1). A car crossing the frame in 8 s moves about 0.12. Default 0.02. 0 disables the stall check. A reversal must also move backwards at twice this speed (twice 0.02 when the stall check is off).

min_stall_secfloatdefault 0.5range 0–10advanced

Shortest stop that is reported (s). Stops in the first or last second are not reported. 0 turns the check off.

Stops shorter than this are ignored (0-10 s, default 0.5). 0 disables the stall check. A stall inside the first or last second of a take is skipped as the subject entering or leaving the frame.

min_reverse_secfloatdefault 0.5range 0–10advanced

Shortest backwards stretch that is reported (s). 0 turns the check off.

Backwards stretches shorter than this are ignored (0-10 s, default 0.5). 0 disables the reverse check. Lower it to catch brief jerks; a scene with natural back-and-forth motion (jumping, a turning head) needs it higher.
